Welcome to the Thomas Education Research Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. We are an international hub for research in the fields of Sport and Education, covering within these fields physical education, sport management, sport psychology, leadership, and youth development. The centre actively fosters global collaboration on combined research projects with universities worldwide and has an active network of sport and education academics and researchers from across the world. Annually, the Research Centre hosts international fellows under the Aotearoa Impact Fellowship, who undertake applied case studies with local sport organisations and schools in New Zealand.

Fellowships
Aotearoa Impact Fellowship
The Aotearoa Impact Fellowship is a New Zealand programme developed for university students and graduates who are looking to have an immersive industry experience backed with applied research you can take back with you to your university of origin. The fellowship aims to foster collaboration between academia and local sport organisations, schools and community organisations contributing to evidence based practices in sport and education.
